Repentance

What is probably the hardest action that most of us need to do almost on a daily basis? Repent, the probability that we will do something or say something to cause someone somewhere to take offence is very high. Often we do not even realise that we have actual caused offence until it is pointed out to us. Why should that be the case? Well we all have different perspectives on life and we all have our own moral standards to which we try to live, we often even fail to maintain our own standards, never mind the standards another person may be expecting from you.

Now let’s put a little perspective and direction to what I am saying, when I say repent, I am not saying apologise, though that is part of repentance. I am saying that repentance is to have a change of direction, a change of our default position and accept a moral standard and expectation established by another party. Father God himself has set the standard in which we are to operate if we are to enter into His Eternal Kingdom.
