For any relationship to work, the parties involved need to understand the person who they are in relationship with. There are different relationships and each kind will require a different level of understanding. For instance a relationship between a husband and wife will be different to the kind of relationship they have with their children. Similarly relationships with work colleague’s will operate under another understanding. However, for all relationships to work effectively there needs to be a trust between each party, a trust that each party will be committed and honour the covenant into which they have entered.
This is no different with our relationship with God, He has committed himself in covenant to us humanity and in that covenant he has made promises that he will uphold. For our part we are only required to trust in faith that he will do what he says he will do. For those who have accepted the sacrifice that Jesus offered at his crucifixion, taking all the sin and sickness, providing for us freedom and a new life. When we doubt and question what Father God said then we are not trusting Him.
