Mark 4 is a tremendous chapter about the integrity of God’s Word – the power, the character, and the faith in it. There were a number of parables (stories), one of which was about the sower sowing seed. Now Jesus was not trying to teach us how to be farmers. No, he was teaching the principle of how the word of God grows in the hearts of people and in doing that he was also describing the preparedness of different individuals to receive what had been sown.
I would put it this way were they searching for God, therefore ready to receive or were they focused on the world and what it had on offer.
In this series of teaching we will be looking at God’s Word, the truth of it and how it changes those who seek to gain understanding of Father God through His word.
