2 Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new. The phrase “in Christ” is a terminology that is used over 300 times in the New Testament, always referring to a vital, union relationship with God. Once that takes place, you become a new creature. Some translations actually say “a new creation.”
I believe it is imperative to understanding our new identity in Christ: It does not take place in the physical realm. It is not talking about your physical body, whatever you looked like before you will look the same after receiving your new identity in Christ.
To help you gain understanding about this new identity you need to recognise that we are 3 parts, body, soul and spirit. Our body and soul are still the same, we look and act like we did before in our soulish realm. However, we now also have a Spiritual realm, it is this that changed it came alive, born again on receiving Christ in us.
This is our new creation. This teaching will help you understand the change that has happened and how you can learn to understand how to live out of your Spiritual realm rather than your Soulish realm
